Welcome to the Windmill Medical Practice Website

COVID-19

We are currently inundated with calls for advice regarding COVID-19. Please do not call the practice for simple advice. The online resources listed below have all the appropriate and essential up to date advice and guidance.

DO PHONE -111, OR THE PRACTICE IF YOUR SYMPTOMS ARE SEVERE, IF THEY ARE DETERIORATING, OR IF THEY HAVE NOT IMPROVED AFTER 7 DAYS.

Symptoms to look out for are a new continuous cough and / or a high temperature. If you have these symptoms stay at home and self isolate for 7 days. If a family member has symptoms the household must self isolate for 14 days. The person with symptoms can return to normal activities if their symptoms have resovled after 7 days.

Initially we would ask patients with mild symptoms to seek advice online at:

www.nhsinform.scot or www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/

If you are in a high risk category and have to self isolate for 12 weeks please follow this link https://111.nhs.uk/isolation-note to download an isolation note for your employer.

DO NOT ATTEND THE SURGERY IN PERSON

As a measure to reduce spread of this infection all GP appointments will be carried out over the phone.

The Practice Nurse will try and deal with as many of their appointments by telephone as well, or ask you to wait if your review is not urgent.

You should NOT attend the surgery, a member of the medical team will contact you by telephone with advice.

Thank you for your patience during this difficult period
